Catch Up Class Week 3 - Iyengar-style Practice

Emphasis: This class features lots of seated poses, done in the Iyengar style with attention to alignment and holding for a little longer than we do in our flow-type classes. Poses include Heron Pose (Krounchasana), Bharadvaja's Twist (Bharadvajasana), Sage Pose (Marichyasana I), Bound Angle Pose (Baddha Konasana), Wide Leg Forward Fold (Upavista Konasana), Side Reclining Leg Lift Pose - also known as Vishnu's Couch Pose - (Anantasana) and Bridge Pose (Setu Bhandasana). You'll then use the chair to get a little deeper than normal into Garland Pose (Malasana), Bound Angle Pose (Baddha Konasana) and Boat Pose (Navasana) before taking Savasana with the legs up on the chair which feels very nice for the back.
Props needed: A chair, some wall-space, a belt, two blankets, two blocks and two bricks.
Mat direction: Long edge of the mat facing the screen.
